Let Your Voice Be Heard!

The historic 2020 fires were the most destructive natural disaster in Oregon’s history & impacted survivors & communities are still recovering.
To address some of the most critical remaining recovery & mitigation needs, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development allocated over $422 million in Community Development Block Grant-Disaster Recovery funding. This grant is an opportunity to rebuild housing, revitalize communities, & prepare to withstand future disasters, including focusing on these critical pillars:

🔹 Advancing equity & racial justice & supporting underserved communities.
🔹 Rebuilding homes & communities to be more resilient to natural disasters.

Oregon Housing and Community Services will hold public hearings May 19th & 24th locally. Before the hearings, OHCS officials will be on hand to answer questions about disaster recovery funding & provide information about the state’s process to identify unmet recovery needs.
